Nurse Practitioner
Initially Alicia obtained her undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Concordia University of Wisconsin in Mequon. As a nurse she worked in many settings including urban ER (highest acuity and volume ER in the state of Wisconsin). She then transitioned to the role of Nurse Case Manager while she moved to the Eau Claire area and began her graduate studies. More recently Alicia began working here at WWH in the ER.
Alicia attended graduate school at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and she has her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with her focus being family practice. She is a board certified FNP. Alicia was trained with the Mayo School of Health Sciences.
She chose family practice because it is a joy and privilege to be a part of the health journey for all ages. Alicia truly enjoys each stage of life from newborn until end of life. Throughout her clinical rotations she learned that she also enjoyed specialty practice and getting a mix of the clinic and inpatient setting. Alicia is excited to also be a part of the orthopedics team, this will bring an interesting blend of expertise to her practice.
Her Hobbies outside of work include, working with her dogs, hiking, camping, fishing and spending time with family.
