Behavioral Health Counselor

Mike Veldhuis was raised in the Twin Cities, attended UW-Madison for his undergraduate degree, and returned to Minnesota to complete his master's degree at the University of St. Thomas. Mike takes a special interest in working with people struggling with addiction, trauma, and helping others develop awareness of themselves and understanding around the problems they are experiencing in their life.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys reading, hiking, watching baseball, writing fantasy and science fiction stories, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Seeking therapy is an act of courage and hope. It's a privilege to be a part of someone's journey and help them build insight into themselves and who they want to be, and to assist someone in overcoming whatever challenge they may be facing.
